Farm Days

Farm Days is a community event put on for Special Needs kids and their families held at Kitsap County Fairgrounds, Silverdale WA.

It was started by the Corey Family over 50 years ago. They have stepped down, but it has been taken up by the Farmdays.org.

It has provided a fun day for the families from Washington schools in Kitsap, Thurston, Jefferson, Mason, Pierce, and Clallam counties.

We have provided hay rides for the event consistently for over ten years.

– 2024 Farm Days –

We would like to thank all the folks that came and helped us on FARM Days for another successful event that is in the books. Day one was sunny and warm, Day two was wet in the AM only and a lot colder.

We did 122 total trips; 4 tractors & wagons on Day 1 and three tractors & wagons on Day 2. We had 1,753 riders for the grand total of happy riders. Thanks to Frank for bringing the Bubble machine, it worked great and the kids loved it. We had cut out animal figures along the route through the woods that were donated by a local company as well as the ever present Bigfoot.

We had a mixture of attendees 12 Club members, 6-10 CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) members, and 2 friends/family members volunteering to help for the event. Club members brought the following equipment; Frank Stricklin 2 wagons and the Bubble Machine, Craig and Rose Thielen 450 John Deere and wagon, John Stageberg 143 International with it’s one arm loader, Tom Lundgren 400 Farmall, Dale Hardesty Fordson Major Diesel E1A, and John Graham the Club’s wagon. The Club members ground crew consisted of; Dave Tonnessen, John Olson, Randy King, Bob Campy, John Graham, The CERT team helped with crowd control and the two Family friends as well. All in all, it was a smooth operation.
